Etsy Offsite Ads take-home: price the $100 cap before you publish

Offsite Ads can be 15% or 12% of the order — and Etsy’s public materials describe a $100 per-order cap when Offsite applies. Pricing without that what-if is how “profitable on paper” listings surprise you later.

AfterFees lets you toggle Offsite Off / 15% / 12% with the cap modeled when Offsite is on. It does not detect Offsite attribution on real orders. Estimates only. Not affiliated with Etsy.

Storefront listing name is FeeTruth on package 0.2.8; AfterFees rename is in review.

How to use the Offsite toggle before you publish

  1. Enter listing price and your unit cost (POD or wholesale).
  2. Set Offsite to Off for a baseline take-home.
  3. Flip to 15% then 12% and watch the $100 cap bite on larger orders.
  4. Publish only when the worst case you care about still works.

This is scenario math on your computer — not a promise that a given order will or will not be billed Offsite.

FAQ

Does AfterFees know if my last order was Offsite?

No. You choose the Offsite scenario. For real attribution, check Etsy’s own seller tools and statements.

Where do the rates come from?

Public Etsy help fee schedules (US). See product FEES.md / in-extension schedule stamp. Ops re-checks periodically.
